Dr. Anita Bassi is originally from Edmonton, Alberta where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in 1995 at the University of Alberta.  She later earned her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo in 1999 and is currently a member of the College of Optometrists of Ontario.

 

During her training, Dr. Bassi completed her Ocular Health Externship working in a multidisciplinary health care facility in Largo, Florida.    In April 1999, she received her certificate for the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease from the International Association of Board of Examiners in Optometry. Dr. Bassi also completed her Primary Eye Care Internship in Edmonton and in Waterloo. 

 

After graduating, Dr. Bassi has worked in laser eye care clinics alongside surgeons and in various busy private practices in both Alberta and Central Ontario.  She is currently settled in Toronto working in her own full scope private practice located in the heart of the Annex. 

 

The practice has been serving the community for over 45 years.  It was established in 1973 by Dr. Marvin Nash and after he retired, it was later assumed by Dr. Anita Bassi in 2008.
